    Allergen-Free Compounded Medications in Denver

If you have ever read the inactive-ingredients list on a prescription bottle and felt uneasy, you are not being paranoid. Standard tablets and capsules contain dyes, binders, preservatives, and fillers that a small but real number of patients react to. Compounding solves that.

What is actually in a standard medication

The active ingredient is often less than five percent of a commercial tablet. The rest is fillers: lactose, gluten, corn starch, magnesium stearate, artificial dyes, and preservatives that keep the product shelf-stable for years. For most patients, none of that matters. For sensitive patients, it matters a lot.

    Who benefits from allergen-free compounding

    • Patients with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity.
    • Patients with lactose intolerance or dairy allergy.
    • Patients with dye sensitivities (Red 40, Yellow 5, Blue 1).
    • Patients with mast cell activation or multiple chemical sensitivities.
    • Children with soy, corn, or artificial-sweetener allergies.

    How we compound allergen-free

We start with pharmaceutical-grade pure active ingredient, then use only the fillers you tolerate. Options include microcrystalline cellulose, rice starch, magnesium stearate substitutes, and simple vegetarian capsule shells. Every batch is prepared in a dedicated Denver lab under USP standards, with detailed batch records so you know exactly what is in your medication.

    Common allergen-free reformulations

Denver providers regularly send us thyroid medication (T3/T4), hormone therapy, antibiotics, GI medications, and pediatric formulations to reformulate without common allergens. If you have reacted to a prescription before, do not just switch to a different brand. Ask your provider whether a compounded, filler-free version is appropriate.

    How to start

Bring your current prescription and a list of your known sensitivities to your Denver provider, or call RxByDesign at 720-507-6344 and we will coordinate directly with them. Most allergen-free compounds are ready within one to two business days and qualify for free Denver-metro delivery.
